A case of infective endocarditis in a farmer caused by Streptococcus equinus

Abstract

The following is a case report of a farmer with documented aortic valve disease who developed bacterial endocarditis secondary to Streptococcus equinus. This is a rare pathogen in man and its acquisition in this case may be related to the subject's occupation.
