Neurally mediated syncope (NMS) is the result of a critical cerebral hypoperfusion. The pathophysiology of this abnormality is multifactorial. Optimal cerebral perfusion depends on an adequate functioning of the control mechanisms maintaining cerebral oxygen delivery.
